Can a landlord be held responsible if a tenant's aggressive dog attacks someone on the premises?

I am a landlord and just learned a new renter of mine has an aggressive dog. Will be responsible if the dog attacks someone on my property?

If the Tenancy forbids tenants keeping pets then there could be a residual liability upon you if an attack occurred, but the primary liability is upon the tenant.

You could ask the tenant to remove the dog from the premises (if the Lease forbids pets) threatening possession proceedings for breach of Tenant's Covenants.
