My landlord is claiming damage to carpets which I believe is normal wear and tear. How can I appeal this and what will happen to my deposit?

My previous landlord is claiming that damage was sustained to the carpets during my two year tenancy agreement. I believe this is two years reasonable wear and tear. How can I appeal their decision and what happens to my deposit held with TDS?

You should have details of the TDS scheme in which your deposit is held. This will have a dispute resolution procedure contained within it and you should seek to use that procedure to resolve this matter.
