When I moved into my rented property the bath was not plumbed in and the shower did not work. Is this legal?
When I moved into my rented property the bath was not plumbed in and the shower did not work. Please can you tell me if it is illegal to have both forms of running water for personal hygiene not working? Is there an Act with regards to this that can support me in highlighting this to the landlord?
This counts as disrepair. The landlord is obliged to repair these items under Section 11 of the Housing Act 1988.
